Jagua for First-Timers: Your First Design, Step by Step
Trying jagua for the first time is easier than you think. No needles, no mixing, no artistic background required. Here is exactly how to create your first design. Step 1: Choose a simple spot For your first try, pick a flat area like the inner forearm or the back of the hand. These are easy to reach and hold color well. Step 2: Clean the skin Wash and dry the area. Skip lotion or oil so the gel grips properly. Clean skin equals a darker stain. Step 3: Draw or trace Use a stencil or one of our reusable stamps if you are nervous about freehand. The gel flows like thick ink, so go slow and steady. Step 4: Let it sit Leave the gel on for 4 to 8 hours, overnight is ideal. The longer it stays, the deeper it develops. Step 5: Scrape and reveal Gently scrape off the dried gel (do not rinse) and rub in a little oil. Over the next 24 to 48 hours it darkens into a rich blue-black. That is it. Your first jagua tattoo, no commitment, lasting up to two weeks. Ready to begin? The Jagua Kit 15 is the perfect first step.
